15 day Count Down to SUMMER… Goddess Style!

count down to summer

This past winter was so cold, long and harsh plus the dreary transition into spring took so long that I am positive that we are all ready for an amazing Summer.  The team at Tranquil Garden is so excited about Summer that we have decided to really celebrate!  Starting with our Count Down to Summer… Goddess style – a 15 day blog that you can follow from our Facebook page to keep  you motivated and inspired into taking good care of YOU this summer, followed by the introduction of our Goddess Membership Program that literally guarantees YOU some ME-TIME this summer  and wrapping up with our Summer Solstice Goddess Party – a free evening of fun, prizes and information.

Are YOU ready to be a Tranquil Garden Goddess?

Many women, particularly Mom’s that work outside of the home, find that the summer (especially July and August) is STRESS-FULL so when it comes to taking care of themselves they often just don’t bother. The stress and pressure seems to be amplified by the notion that everyone elses needs must be met – kids need something to do, the house is a disaster, work keeps piling up and hubby still needs TLC too!  So more often than not we just don’t bother with our own needs.  Don’t get me wrong it happens all year round – it just seems that in the summer we justify it as okay.  Well, guess what – it is not okay.  In fact, taking care of yourself is just not optional… it is absolutely essential.  When your vessel is empty and you keep depleting yourself everyone suffers.

 NOT Tranquil Garden Goddesses!

Tranquil Garden Goddesses are women living in Durham Region, they are hard working mom’s, entrepreneurs and/or professional women that know how stressful life can be… however, they have a secret ~ they know exactly where to go to get the  tools necessary to manage stress, to feel empowered and to maintain balance in their lives.

So if YOU are not a Tranquil Garden Goddess yet, let us help you with a few great ways to make sure you keep your cup topped up…

Everyday

Making the effort to start the day on a positive note, my friend Cate Collins, of Powerful Journey Consulting,  recently shared a great truth that I will share with you today… starting the day on a positive note really will shape how the rest of the day will play out.  Do whatever works for you!  For me it is meditation ~ giving myself some time, even 10 minutes,  to set the stage for the rest of the day.  I suggest clearing your mind, breathing deeply and reciting a positive mantra that works to keep you feeling good all day long.  For me, I love statements that are short, simple and easy to believe.  Something like  “today is another awesome day”.  It is simple and feels great.  It also sets the expectation for only good things to come my way.  I have a few others that I use – my favorite is Om Daksham Namah.  It means “my actions achieve maximum results with minimal effort.  For me it sets the expectation for another easy day and I love the way the sounds feel in my throat and in my head.

Once a week

Do something that is just for you… for no one else; just you.  Something that brings you complete joy ~ it relaxes, rejuvenates and restores you.  It could be active or passive.  For me, my life is so fast paced and jam packed that when I get me time I want it to be passive.   I love to curl up with a cup of tea and a book that I am not going to be tested on.  I love to write with no intended end result.  I love to get a massage or meet a friend for lunch.

Spring Detox with RHN, Judy Schneider

It’s Spring Cleaning Time!!

After a very long and difficult winter, it seems that spring has finally arrived. I knew it when I saw 2 robins on my lawn yesterday. Nothing says spring like robins.

Over the winter, we all put on a few pounds and our organs of elimination need a clean out just like our homes and yards.

Detoxification is a way of supporting the body in releasing the toxins that have built up in our bodies and cleaning them out. Daily we are exposed to toxins in food, medications, cosmetics and the environment   that must be broken down by the liver and eliminated through the kidneys, colon, skin and respiratory systems.

A detox cleanse can be very beneficial and can make you feel a lot healthier. A detox done wrong will just drain your body of energy even more while a detox done right results in higher energy levels and an increased sense of wellness. You may even drop a few pounds.

I offer a sensible detox program that will help you see 5 benefits:

  • Get rid of excess waste
  • Increase energy levels
  • Strengthen immune system
  • Increase mental focus
  • Clearer skin

I am offering my detox program at a discount. Save $80.00. This offer will not last so call or email me today.

ONLY $200

3 Reasons to Celebrate with Tranquil Garden in 2014

3 Reasons to Celebrate

with Tranquil Garden in 2014

Reason #1. The year 2014 is going to be awesome!

How could we possibly know that 2014 is going to be awesome? Well, we have used numerology to analyze the numbers and we love the potential!

According to Wikipedia, Numerology is the study of purported Devine, mystical or other special relationship between a number and some coinciding observed (or perceived) events. Modern numerology has roots as far back as 6th Century B.C. Greece and it takes a variety of aspects from many ancient cultures that we honour and respect today.

So, in the tradition of Tarot Arcana (otherwise recognized as the Tarot Card), the numbers of 2014 represent great opportunity for each and every single one of us…

2+0+1+4 = 7

According to Tarot Arcana the number 7 represents destiny.  In this new year coming upon us, we each have the opportunity to choose, YES, it is completely within our own control… to choose to be the Master of our own Destiny or to be the victim. We have the power to live our lives on purpose or to just be carried along with the current of the times.

The number 7, being an odd number also represents change, specifically the “action” of change; as it moves each of us into the next moment.

Mastering our destiny combined with change moving us into the next moment suggests that 2014 will bring with it great opportunity should each of us choose to find and live our purpose.

At Tranquil Garden, we have decided to take action to move into this New Year with Purposefulness. We know, without a doubt, that it is our destiny to be the place in Durham Region where like-minded people gather together to learn, share, heal, grow and prosper.

Over the last 3 years we have had a very clear mission to educate YOU to empower yourself to evolve your mind, body and spirit through Holistic Self Care Services & Programs that develop both actions and attitudes that contribute to your own unique journey of creating and maintaining balance and well-being in your life.

We are committed to making Holistic Self Care accessible; all while connecting you to other like-minded people in a supportive, learning inspired environment.

The big question is … what is YOUR destiny and how will you choose to move into 2014? Not sure? Let Tranquil Garden be your resource as you embrace your destiny and move into the New Year with all that brings you passion, purpose and life balance.

Reason #2.  We are celebrating our 3rd Anniversary and would love to have you join us!

Yes, it is true… we are three years old. What an incredible three years it has been. We made it through the terrible twos and not without our challenges. Yet in the true fashion of the self care evolution, we have made every effort to learn and grow with each obstacle. We have become stronger, smarter and even more focused.

We have a lot to celebrate and we would love to have you join us on:

Wednesday February12, 2014 at 6pm – 9pm for our 3rd Year Anniversary and Grand Re-Opening Party

[Please RSVP to events@tranquilgardenretreat.ca | food & refreshments | cake & ribbon cutting at 7:30pm | $25 gift vouchers and goodie bags for the 1st 75 guests]

Grand Re-opening? You heard it right. The next monumental moment for Tranquil Garden is to embrace our transition as we leave behind the terrible twos to celebrate becoming a toddler… and like most toddlers – we are on the move…

Reason #3. We are moving… February 2014; and we are kicking it up “Karma” style

There is no question that 1053 Ritson Rd N is a beautiful 6200 square foot facility with unique amenities and it certainly has been an awesome “home” to us the past 3 years. Unfortunately, our time there has not so gently come to an end. It just does not have the basic requirements that a business that wants to grow and thrive requires… like ample parking, wheelchair accessibility, good signage and consistently regulated heat and air conditioning.

Although our new location, 850 King St. W unit #8, is not a “home” it does have many very exciting features including but not limited to over a hundred parking spots; 10 treatment rooms, 3 meeting spaces and 4 washrooms all on one level; it is located in an easy to find, well advertised location at the border of Oshawa and Whitby; and it is cool in the summer and warm in the winter – whoo hoo!

Our last day at 1053 Ritson Rd N will be Saturday February 1st and our first day at 850 King St W will be Wednesday February 5th. We are giving ourselves a few days to get acclimatized and then we are going to celebrate with a week of COMPLIMENTARY services and events from Monday February 10th to Saturday February 15th.

Check out our calendar of events over the next couple of weeks to see what special treats we have in store for you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
